 Alexis Enrolling at age 20 with an infant at home, Alexis had significant academic ground to make up and only a limited amount of time to finish. Bradenton Bay staff encouraged her to keep going. Teachers provided one-on-one support, and the school allowed Alexis to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions, giving her additional time each day to complete coursework. “The village that I had around me during me going to school was the reason why I'm here today. If I did not have the support in the village that I had around me, I probably would have given up on myself a long time ago.” |
